Participants will hike through one of the best birding locations in Florida while experienced trip leaders share their knowledge along the route of some of the 220 bird species within Orlando Wetlands Park. The trail weaves among different marshland compartments that are a part of one of the largest constructed wetland treatment systems built to date.

Less than 30 minutes from campus, Little Big Econ State Forest is home to more than 5,000 acres of forests and cypress swamps along the Econlockhatchee River. This trip will take participants on a hike along the top edge of bluffs that overlook the water, ending at the banks of the Econ River for a yoga flow and lunch break before turning back around and hiking out of the forest along the same trail.
Silver River is one of the only places in Florida where you can kayak past monkeys in the wild! Originally brought over from Asia in 1930 as a tourist attraction, the rhesus monkeys have since escaped the small island and now have a population estimated at more than 200! Participants will paddle along the crystal clear water of the river, spotting this exotic species as well as more local wildlife along the way. This trip is geared towards UCF students who are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Sitting Volleyball is an opportunity for students with and without physical disabilities to work together on the same team to compete as one. We play on a modified volleyball court that is a bit smaller than our normal courts and the nets are lowered. The game is played sitting down and the rules prevent you from leaving the floor. Teams consist of 6 players.
Wheelchair Basketball is an opportunity for students with and without physical disabilities to work together on the same team to compete as one. The game is played in sport wheelchairs which are available for those students that do not have them. Teams will play half court and consist of 2 players.

This event includes several rounds of modified dodgeball games, including “Bowling Dodgeball,” “Jailbreak Dodgeball” and “Survivor Dodgeball.” “Bowling Dodgeball” awards points to players that can knock down pins on the opposition’s side of the court, while “Jailbreak Dodgeball” allows teammates that were out to rejoin the game when a teammate scores a basket. “Survivor Dodgeball” is played on a bigger court and with 15 players on each side. Hospital Boulders is a hidden gem of climbing in the southeast. This sandstone boulder field in northwest Alabama is an ideal locations for fairly-graded, moderate level climbing and has many boulder problems available at V3 and below. Participants will spend their time practicing and learning bouldering techniques. Camping location includes a large natural waterfall.

Orlando Wetlands Park is a city wastewater reclamation project that has become home to alligators and many bird species alike. Known as one of the best birding spots in the state, we will explore the open marshlands and learn about the man-made process to filter reclaimed water, ending the day with a beautiful sunset over the wetlands!
Made famous by Florida's state song "Old Folks at Home", this wild river provides canoers with wide waterways to paddle and opportunities to encounter abundant wildlife as they canoe from one campsite to another along the river.

Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training. Our courses are designed to arm you with the skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. With our lifeguard training, you will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries.

Have you ever wanted to explore some of Florida's natural beauty on a SUP? Our SUP are geared towards all levels, from beginners who have never tried stand up paddleboarding before to those who consider themselves experts. Our staff will provide the boards and instruction. Lunch is not provided, but we will provide coolers for you to bring a lunch. We will meet at the Outdoor Adventure Center the morning of the 3rd and transportation is provided from UCF to Ormond Beach and back. Interested in this trip or any others that we offer? Soccer Golf is a blend of soccer and golf. It is played on a golf course with a soccer ball. The goal of the sport is to get the ball in the hole with the fewest strokes (kicks) possible. It is played using the basics model of golf. The main differnece is the cups, which are larger to fit a soccer ball, shorter holes and players kick the ball instead of using clubs.

Have you always wanted to compete in a Triathlon, but don’t know where to start? RWC Fitness has you covered! Triathlon Training is a 12 week program designed to prepare you for a sprint triathlon. Participants will be guided through a training program that prepares them to complete the requirements of a sprint triathlon - Swim 1/4 mile, Bike 12.5 miles, Run 3.1 miles. Training will be guided through regular meetings and emails. Training will be a fusion of informational training sessions as well as workouts guided by certified Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors. The training will lead up to the Ron Jon Cocoa Beach Triathlon. There is a bike requirement for the race, not the training.
We will meet January 31st- April 7th Tuesdays and Fridays at 7:00AM (Runs 12 weeks).
Join OA for a weekend canoeing adventure at Canaveral National Seashore. Over 310 bird species and 1,000 plant species call this home. We will canoe to a primitive campsite and spend both nights on islands in the seashore. The trip leaders will teach participants all they need to know about camping and canoeing- but be sure to bundle up, it will be a chilly trip.

OA will embark on our first backpacking trip of 2017 to Ocala National Forest. The National Forest is the second largest nationally protected forest in the US. Many creatures including; White Tail Deer, Florida Black Bear, Red Fox, and the Gopher Tortoise call this their home.
This trip will be a primitive trip, students will learn how to filter water as many other backcountry camping skills. Cost: $30, includes equipment, food, instruction, and transportation from UCF. Open to currently enrolled UCF students only.

The RWC is offering private swim lessons to UCF students and members of the RWC. The cost is $15 per lesson and you will be taught by one of our certified Water Safety Instructors.
Join Outdoor Adventure on a once in life time caving experience. Participants will have the opportunity to experience absolute darkness in the cave as well as learn about the unique ecosystem.
Students that sign up for this trip need to be in excellent physical condition and cannot have class on Friday. The trip will depart at 7am on Friday and return Sunday night. Students will also need to bring $10 cash for a cave entrance fee (not included in the sign up cost). Also be sure to get your warm clothes out- this will be a cold trip!
Trip opens for sign up on 11/14 at noon in the Outdoor Adventure Center. Trip cost: $45. Trip dates: 1/13-1/15.
