Pegasus Parent Program
The Student Academic Resource Center wants you to know about our new program, Academic Coaching and Engagement (ACE)!

The ACE Program facilitates academic success among undergraduates by providing FREE one-on-one, ongoing peer coaching. Academic coaches help program participants develop important academic and life skills such as organization, time management, goal setting and study skills, which are necessary to ensure satisfactory academic progress. If your student is having a challenging semester, struggling to stay motivated, or just wants to raise their academic game then this is a great opportunity!

What can students expect? They will meet one-on-one with an Academic Coach for an hour each session. The Coach will help students assess their strengths as well as areas for growth, learn new academic strategies personalized to their classes and learning style, discover campus resources and opportunities relevant to their interests, and create goals with action plans to ensure they achieve them.

Who is an Academic Coach? Our Academic Coaches are super students at the undergraduate level who have received intensive training and learned from their own experiences. They all have above a 3.0 GPA and have been at UCF for at least one year.

What will be discussed? Students lead the session with their individual needs, but common areas of focus include study skills, test preparation and test taking, memory and concentration skills, textbook reading and note-taking, organization and time management, goal setting, and more!

How do I make an appointment? The ACE program is open to all undergraduate students. To schedule the first session, students will want to complete the ACE Appointment form online with their availability. Students can meet with one of our Academic Coaches as often as twice a month. Regular meetings are encouraged as they will provide the opportunity for students to check in with a coach on their progress, keeping them accountable for the goals and action plans created in sessions.

PLUS: Scholarship opportunities are available for ACE Program participants!

SARC is excited to announce that scholarships will be awarded to select students who participate in the ACE program this fall! Currently, SARC has secured several Textbook Vouchers and one Annual Parking Decal. SARC is also currently waiting on news from SGA regarding their application for tuition scholarships to award to students.
