RWC Marketing Team Honored with Two Awards
The National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association honored the Recreation and Wellness Center Marketing team with two Creative Excellence Awards at the NIRSA’s Annual Conference in Washington D.C.
The CEA honors NIRSA member schools’ outstanding accomplishments in innovative marketing, media and design. NIRSA presents the awards each year at its national conference.
The RWC Marketing Team won a first place award in the Student Presentation category for design in marketing the UCF Outdoor Adventure Bioluminescence Trip last summer. The RWC also took home a third place in the Comprehensive Brochure & Facility Publication category for the guides the marketing team uses to promote all of the RWC’s programming and facilities throughout the year.
UCF Senior, Kristin Wasmund, a graphic design major from Winter Haven, FL, has worked for the RWC for a year and project managed both designs. RWC Marketing and Communications Manager Scott Mauro says the awards are the result of a collective effort, “UCF is committed to offering the best undergraduate academic experience in our state. The marketing student staff at the RWC continue to prove how they can apply their education with creative and innovative marketing that engages our campus community. I’m extremely proud of Kristin’s efforts and the support our team gave her during the process.”
