Welcome back to our old friends and a big gigantic hello to our new Knights, whether you're a transfer student or attending college for the first time!

We're so excited to see everyone on campus again. Summer B is short, but not short on things to do when you're not in class or studying. This is a great time for you to get involved in all the great programs, facilities and services the RWC has to offer you.

The RWC is UCF's greatest place to play, but it's more importantly a proven pathway to your academic success. University data shows that if you use the RWC 30-45 times or more during the year, you increase your chances of having a GPA above the university median. UCF Today has an informative story online about the benefits of using the RWC: http://today.ucf.edu/rwc-users-likely-higher-gpas-stay-school/.

We have some wonderful programming you can get involved with almost immediately and best of all: most of it is free (Outdoor Adventure trips and SCUBA Certifications do have some very cost effective pricing for enrolled UCF Students).

Here's a list of great programs to try out and how to get involved:

Aquatics:
-Group swim lessons for all levels of swimmers: July 10 - August 3, 2017 (sign up at the main office in the RWC)

-Group Exercise classes availble all summer B long (schedule posted on the fitness page at rec.ucf.edu)

-SCUBA Certification classes July 21-23 (cost is $275 and students can sign up at the Outdoor Adventure Center on the first floor of the RWC)
-Bioluminescence Night Paddle Trip on July 28 (Registration begins July 7, and the cost is only $15, this will sell out fast and it's only for enrolled UCF Students, sign up at the Outdoor Adventure Center on the first floor of the RWC)

*If you don't have a free IM Leagues account yet, just register at rec.ucf.edu/im and click on Registration. That allows you to register for all the Intramural Events listed and above and any other time until you graduate

Those are just a few handful of events to get involved with while you're here this summer, they'll be many, many more in the fall. Don't forget to check out our hours at rec.ucf.edu!
