Student Academic Resource Center
Alexandria Turnbow

Each day, the staff members at SARC seek to create a fun, open, and effective learning environment for the students that utilize their resources. In addition to professional staff, SARC has many student employees who help deliver outstanding academic support services to UCF students. This section recognizes those individuals for their dedication to the work they do and their desire to see all students get the assistance they need.

Alexandria Turnbow is the graduate assistant for the ACE and Access Programs. Alex also serves as a Learning Specialist and assists with the planning of the Study Union event during final exams.

Alex came to UCF in 2015, after receiving her bachelor degree in Psychology from the University of Memphis. She is currently in the Counselor Education graduate program, and after she obtains her Master of Arts, she hopes to eventually begin her own private practice focusing on couples and marriage therapy.

Alex is thankful for the opportunity to work at SARC. “I’ve had so many great experiences working for SARC. There are some parts of my job that require me to step out of my comfort zone, but I’m thankful for them because they’ve really allowed me to grow as a person” she explained.

Alex’s supervisor, Brandy Espinosa, had this to say about her:

“I have worked with [Alex] for over one year now and she has done a great job. When she first started it was during the most hectic time of the year, but she jumped right in, learned fast and was such a huge help.”

Brandy described Alex as organized, efficient, detail oriented, and fun to work with, adding “I don’t know what I would do without her!”
